What is pattern lock?

Pattern Lock is a security measure that protects android devices, such as mobile phones or tablets, and which is preferred by many users to PIN codes or text passwords. It’s simplicity to control makes it stress less to many Android device users.

When pattern lock is active, for someone to access the device’s functions and content, they must first draw a pattern on an on-screen grid of dots. If this matches the pattern set on the device then the device can be used. However, users only have five attempts to get the pattern right before the device becomes locked again , and this time try again after a certain period of time.

How to activate pattern lock

seemingly. the most popular, and certainly the most unconventional, screen lock, is the pattern lock. On Android phones pattern must be traced on the touchscreen. To create an unlock pattern, do this

1 Enter menu click settings, click security, click screen lock type and choose pattern

draw the pattern type that you like and confirm it to continue .that’s it

Follow the same method and select NONE to deactivate it

What to do if you forget the pattern

Everyone that uses a device that is protected with a pattern , password or other security feature on android phone or tablets knows that they do forget it at times

It becomes so stressful when all tries and effort to remember the lost credentials proves abortive, .Thanks to the manufacturers who also know that this can happen at times and make what is called RECOVERY MODE and forget password

You can can click on the forget password and answer your security question then set a new pattern or remove it entirely, or create a new one

Wiping data in recovery mode

If you have tried everything and you decided to wipe data on the phone or tablet
